Process
I began by sketching minimal, comfortable forms optimized for vertical extrusion to avoid 3D printing supports. Next, I modeled these designs in Fusion 360 and 3D printed scale prototypes, including a 45%-scale model to test seating functionality.
Once the initial furniture concepts were complete, I rendered them in, unique backdrops to create fully visualized recycled furniture.
Each setting was carefully chosen to emphasize the design and style of the pieces.

Research
From Waste to Wonder
Not all plastic waste is created equal. About 30% is non-recyclable and used for energy or concrete. Another 50% is recyclable but not suitable for filament. Only 20% becomes the filament we use to 3D-print sustainable furniture. Local recycling systems, contamination, and household habits shape this journey. Curious how your waste stacks up?
